I love Showing-off— The Value Story
A child once walked up to me and said why should a child not show off? If you possess a skill, should one not be proud of it, if not what is the use of having one? Then he asked me if that was incorrect why people hunt for likes on social media? I just did not have an answer and was stumped. I had to agree to the kid that it was fine to show-off and only losers act modest, the child was rejoiced and reminded me of the proverb which I too recollect, that for some ‘Grapes are Sour’. Our discussion concluded on common ground that modesty may not be the best policy and we stayed friends forever.
However, while we were discussing this, the same conversation was taking place on the other side of the planet, in the village of Brimstown. The discussion here was between Danny and Alice who were fed-up with their friend Gallo blowing his trumpet all the time. These childhood buddies would travel in their wooden horse carriage every day to school to Tuscan town, play video games and were in agreement on everything in life but this one thing, modesty. This story has three possible outcomes, one, Gallo agrees with his friends, two, Danny and Alice agree with Gallo, or three, they both do reach common ground. Well, the answer we leave for you and little one to discover in this crunchy tale called, Champion Gallo.
